Rox Workshops

The Rox Workshops mirror the principle of the origins of the main Festival following the desire to provide opportunities for young people in a society that is sadly lacking in not just the opportunities but the amenities too.

We've seen shy, self-conscious individuals join the workshops and watch them blossom over the weeks and months to become confident and competent 'team-players' who show respect for both the tutors and their colleagues. Needless to say, some are more talented than others but most if not all, develop an 'I can do that' attitude and gain a true sense of achievement. Many of them go on to actually perform or display their chosen art to the public at large in professional concerts and exhibitions.

On-going Public and Private sector funding is essential to ensure these popular workshops continue.
